What can I do to keep my emails from ending up in Spam?

If the emails you send end up in the recipients’ Spam folder, this can be caused by some missing or incorrect settings. In this article, we present what you can do from cPanel to increase the chances that your messages will correctly reach the Inbox.

1. Enable SPF and DKIM from cPanel

These are two mechanisms that help email servers verify that the messages sent by you are genuine and not fake (spam or phishing).

How to enable them:

  1. Log into cPanel
  2. Look for the Email section
  3. Click on Email Deliverability
  4. If your domain shows a “Problems detected” message, click Repair or Manage
  5. Enable SPF and DKIM, then save

2. Do not send emails with suspicious subject lines or messages

Even if everything is correctly configured, some messages may end up in Spam due to their content.

Avoid:

  • Subjects written entirely in uppercase (e.g., LIMITED OFFER NOW!)
  • Words such as: “free,” “click here,” “urgent,” “no cost”
  • Messages without text (only an image or only a link)

Write emails as naturally and clearly as possible, as if you were writing to a real person.

3. Use a real and active email address

Make sure emails are sent from a valid address that exists and can receive replies. For example:

✔️ [email protected]
[email protected] (if it doesn’t really exist)

Nonexistent or generic addresses can be automatically flagged as suspicious by some filters.

4. Check if your domain has issues

  • Go to cPanel → Email Deliverability
  • Check if any errors are shown for your domain
  • If a “Delivery issues” message appears and you cannot fix it, contact the support team

5. Test your email before sending it to multiple people

You can send a test email to a personal address (e.g., Gmail, Yahoo) and check if it arrives in the Inbox or Spam folder.

If it goes to Spam, check:

  • The subject line
  • The sender’s address
  • If there is a complete signature with name and contact details

6. Purchase a dedicated IP

If you have followed all the steps above but emails still end up in Spam, the only remaining option is to purchase a dedicated IP. Contact us and we will allocate one to you. The cost of a dedicated IP is €2/month.

In conclusion

To ensure your emails reach the Inbox:

  • Enable SPF and DKIM from cPanel
  • Use a clear message without spam-like words
  • Send from a valid address
  • Test before mass sending
  • Purchase a dedicated IP
