An “inode” is a file located in your hosting account. It can be any file on the server, an email message, a web page, a system file, etc.
Files are automatically counted and displayed in cPanel on the right under File Usage along with other data about your web hosting account (used and allocated space, number of email accounts created, etc.).
The number of files allowed for each hosting package is shown in the Terms of Use.
We recommend you ensure that the maximum allowed number of files is not reached; otherwise, you will no longer be able to receive emails, and for example, if your site uses caching, it will no longer be able to generate the necessary files for operation.
